Sales of imported cars in Brazil to increase by 15% in 2021 | CCFA

Sales of imported cars in Brazil are expected to grow 15% this year, to some 68,000 units, estimates theAbeifa (Association of Importers).

In 2020, the 15 Abeifa member brands sold 59,000 vehicles, down 12.7%; these results are better than those initially announced by the Association (57,800 units, – 15%).

“We hope to return to the 2019 volume this year,” said Abeifa President João Oliveira.

“The market performed better than expected in the second half of 2020,” he adds.

By brand, Chery led sales of imported cars last year, accounting for 34% of total volume, followed by BMW (21%) and Volvo (13%).
