The Friday games are returning, the craziness of the Bundesliga is rising on a Tuesday evening. This is evident from the schedule of the German Football League (DFL) for match days 27 to 29.
For the first Friday game after the restart, Hertha BSC will be received on May 22nd (8:30 p.m.) Union Berlin for the capital derby. The Rhenish derby between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen will take place on Saturdays (3:30 p.m.), on Sundays (6:00 p.m.) the 1st FC Köln Fortuna Düsseldorf is looking forward to the next Rhenish duel.
The start of the following week’s game day marks the top game between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. The 29th matchday will open on Friday, May 29th (8:30 p.m.) of SC Freiburg and Bayer Leverkusen. While Bayern expect Fortuna Dusseldorf for the top game on Saturdays (6:30 p.m.), BVB will only have to face SC Paderborn on Sundays (6:00 p.m.). As on matchday 26, there will also be another Monday game, with 1. FC Köln and RB Leipzig meeting at 8:30 p.m.
The DFL will only announce the exact schedule of match days 30 to 32 in the coming weeks, as will the scheduling of the catch-up game between Werder Bremen and Eintracht Frankfurt. This game is expected to take place on June 2nd or 3rd.
After quarantine: Dresden game in Bielefeld not yet scheduled
Second-division soccer team Dynamo Dresden may receive some additional preparation time for its first competitive game after the quarantine has ended. In the latest fixtures of the German Football League (DFL), the game date for the 28th matchday has not yet been fixed. The games of the Saxons on match day 26 (against Hannover 96) and on match day 27 (against SpVgg Greuther Fürth) were canceled.
