Whatsapp will increase the number of group feature capacities to reach 512 users. The announcement was made via their official website.
“One of the requests we continue to receive is the option to add more people to the conversation,” Whatsapp wrote.
“Therefore, we are now slowly increasing the group capacity to 512 people,”
Whatsapp said the addition was made while remaining committed to the privacy and security of its users.
In its official release, Whatsapp also increase the capacity of sending documents up to 2GB. do not forget, the delivery is also processed through the encryption system.
Previously, users could only send documents with a maximum of 100MB. This addition, said Whatsapp, is expected to increase collaboration between small businesses and school groups.
“We recommend sending larger documents using WiFI. We will also show you how long it will take you to send the document,” Whatsapp said.
Whatsapp itself has added several features in their update. One of them is an emoji that can be embedded in a chat.
2 Billion Users
Quoting Antara, Whatsapp is currently the application with the most users in the world (2 billion).
The ability to add 512 people to groups will be available on WhatsApp beta version 2.22.12.10 on Android and version 22.12.0.70 on iOS.
Users who want to experience this feature first can sign up for the beta program.
