The Disappearing Messages feature itself is one of WhatsApp’s features to make it easier for users to set messages in a conversation to be deleted automatically after a certain period of time.
According to a report from XDA Developers (6/12), this new version of the Disappearing Messages feature has several timeframe options. That way, the user can set all messages to be deleted after a selected period of time.
Previously, this company from Meta provided access to delete messages after only 7 days. However, users will be able to choose to delete automatic messages after 24 hours or 90 days.

For further information, WhatsApp also stated that they have added a new option when creating groups. This is intended to make it easier for users to activate the Disappearing Messages feature.
How to activate Disappearing Messages is quite easy, you can follow these steps:
1. Open the WhatsApp application on Android or iPhone.
2. Go to the WhatsApp Settings menu.
3. Select Account > Privacy.
4. Tap Default Message Timer.
5. Select the time period for which you want messages to be deleted automatically. The duration options provided are 24 hours, one week, 90 days, or no activity at all.
