São Paulo must have a different tactical scheme in the debut of Paulistão in relation to what they had been playing last season. With the arrival of reinforcements, coach Rogério Ceni has tested the team in two formations with newcomers Rafinha, Nikão and Alisson among the holders.
Alisson’s role is the big question for the game against Guarani, on Thursday (27), at 21:30 (Brasília time). Ceni tested the open player on the left in recent training sessions and, in today’s activity, put him in the middle.
In the first scenario, São Paulo would play in a 4-2-4 scheme, with only Gabriel Neves and Gabriel Sara in midfield. The attack would consist of Nikão open on the right, Alisson open on the left and Rigoni and Calleri centralized.
The second option takes the team to a 4-3-3. In this one, the midfield would be composed of Gabriel Neves, Gabriel Sara and Alisson. The attack would have Nikão on the right, Rigoni on the left and Calleri centralized.
The likely São Paulo will have: Volpi; Rafinha, Miranda, Léo (Diego Costa), Reinaldo; Gabriel Neves, Gabriel Sara, Alisson; Nikao, Rigoni and Calleri.
For the game against Guarani, the Morumbi team will have a series of absences, mainly because of the covid-19. Igor Gomes and Talles Costa were diagnosed with the disease on Monday (24) and are still not released. Other athletes are still participating in only part of the activities proposed by Ceni.
The club already has 16 cases of the disease. Because of this, many athletes are still not allowed to participate in all activities commanded by Ceni. Since the beginning of the week, some athletes who competed in the Cup for the under-20 have been called to complete the professional’s training.
Two other absences from São Paulo for the debut are midfielder Luan and striker Luciano. Shirt 8 felt muscle pain during training and has been treated by the medical department. Already the attacker has a contracture in the calf.
