Norwegian triathlete Gustav Iden won the “Ironman” in Hawaii in 2022. He was a full 10 minutes faster than Jan Frodeno in 2019 and set a new course record of 7:40:24 hours.
After several years of German victories (2014 up to and including 2019) and the two-year Corona break, there was no gold in Hawaii for the well-known German professionals for the first time. In the women’s category, the 2019 world champion Anne Haug was able to take third place.
