What to remember from the first part of the Limousin pros season

Benoît Badiashile (AS Monaco, Ligue 1)

The Limougeaud defender has established himself as a basic man of the rearguard of AS Monaco. Holder almost at each of the Monegasque club’s meetings in L1 this season at only 19 years old, the young man, who aroused the envy of major European teams, also knows how to turn into a scorer (two achievements at the start of the year). In September, the Haut-Viennois celebrated his first call to the French hopefuls team. Sign of good progress.

Waniss Taïbi (Angers SCO, Ligue 1)

The young midfielder from Limoges has yet to taste Ligue 1 but has featured on SCO game sheets several times this season. Holder with the reserve in N2, the young international U19 from the district of La Bastide could be the next Limousin to discover the elite.

International U19, Waniss Taïbi, here with the blue jersey, is close to making his first appearance in L1.

Laurent Koscielny (Girondins de Bordeaux, Ligue 1)

The Girondins’ road captain experienced a first part of the season disrupted by two injuries. However, the Corrézien has played ten games and has only been defeated three times. Aged 35, the Corrézien said a few days ago that he was reflecting on his post-career without setting a stop date.

Ferris N’Goma (Stade Brestois, Ligue 1)

The Limougeaud midfielder has not played a single minute in L1 this season. While he had to be satisfied with 21 minutes of play during the last exercise, the 27-year-old Haut-Viennois was only summoned twice with the pro group, in August.

Tony Mauricio (RC Lens, Ligue 1)

Promoted to Ligue 1 with the Sang et Or, the native of Limoges discovered the elite this season. Holder only once, against Reims on November 8 (4-4), the 26-year-old offensive player still participated in twelve L1 matches. If he has not yet found the loophole, Tony Mauricio has delivered two assists since the start of the season.

Ismaël Boura (RC Lens, Ligue 1)

The year 2020 will be etched in the memory of the 20-year-old winger. Ismaël Boura, who lived much of his childhood in Limoges, signed his first professional contract in April and was established in L1 on the first day in Nice. The player trained in Saint-Louis Val and Isle has already recorded eleven matches in the elite (including four as holder) and his versatility in the left lane is a great asset.

Grégoire Coudert (Amiens SC, Ligue 2)

The young Corrézien goalkeeper, who signed his first pro contract last June, occupies the position of number 3 in the hierarchy of goalkeepers at the Picardy club. Substituting twice in Ligue 2 in August, the Briviste benefited from playing time with the reserve in N3 by being tenured four times at the start of the year.

Adil Taoui (Toulouse FC, Ligue 2)

Turned pro in 2018, the Haut-Viennois striker discovered the L1 with the TFC last February before the end of the season. In this 2020-2021 exercise played in L2, the 19-year-old made only one appearance on Matchday 1 in August. Considered one of the most promising players at the Toulouse training center, Taoui does not fit into the plans of TFC coach Patrice Garande. Removed from the pro group during the fall, the native of Limoges was laid off by the former L1 resident for disciplinary reasons in November. The future of the Gambardella Cup finalist does not seem to be written on the banks of the Garonne.

Alassane N’Diaye (AC Ajaccio, Ligue 2)

Arrived in Corsica from Clermont last summer, the Creuse attacking player did not really have the leisure to express himself in his new Ajaccian colors. Holder during the first two days in August, the Sostranien was removed from the field for three and a half months due to injury. N’Diaye was able to resume competition just before the break.

Loïc Badiashile (Las Rozas CF, Spanish D3)

Loaned for the fourth time in less than two years by AS Monaco, the Limougeaud porter put his bags down at the end of September at Las Rozas, a club in the Madrid suburbs which emerges in D3. In search of a full first season, the 22-year-old goalkeeper continues the matches. If he has only known victory once since the start of the season, this Iberian experience will be most enriching.

Simeon Petrov (CSKA 1948 Sofia, D1 bulgare)

Born in Limoges, trained at LFC, Simeon Petrov joined CSKA 1948 Sofia last summer, a club promoted to D1 in Bulgaria, after a stint with U19 from Gazélec Ajaccio and an interesting season at Strumska Slava, in Bulgarian D2. Flanked by the number 87, the 20-year-old player followed through on tenure at the start of the season before being relegated to the bench for several weeks by his coach, Krasimir Balakov, Bulgarian football legend. Nevertheless, the young man contributed to the beautiful first part of the season of his training which finished the year in 6th place.

Edouard Daillet (Red Star, National)

By engaging with the Red Star last June, the defender from Guéret signed his first pro contract at almost 28 years old. Appointed captain at the start of the season, the Creusois has established himself as a basic man of the Audonian collective. After several weeks of breaking in, the Red Star has found its cruising speed to show itself as a serious contender for accession to L2.

Appointed captain on his arrival at the Red Star this summer, Edouard Daillet (left) assumes a real leadership role within the Audonian collective.

Marwane Elaz (SO Cholet, National)

Arrived in Cholet from Concarneau last summer, the Briviste has made his place in the SOC collective. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder continues to gain strength over the months.

François Lajugie (FC Bastia-Borgo, National)

The Corrèze defensive midfielder is an almost immovable starter in Bastia-Borgo where he is living his 4th season. Expelled in the derby against SC Bastia at the start of the season, the former LFC player had been suspended for three games before returning to the FCBB midfield. A club he hopes to once again lead to maintenance.

Lonsana Doumbouya, a fast-track season

After long months of waiting and uncertainty, the Haut-Viennois striker has played a short and intense season with his Chinese club Meizhou Hakka after the green light given by the authorities at the end of the summer for that the Division 2 championship takes place. Thus, between September 13 and November 8, Lonsana Doumbouya took part in 14 matches with a nice total of eight achievements. Qualified in the pool of accession to the D1, Meizhou Hakka failed in his objective to join the elite by finishing in fourth place in this mini championship.
