The summer solstice is here, when in addition to the usual traditions of Midsummer celebrations, we also sing Līga and Midsummer. According to the register of residents of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs, they are one of the most popular personal names in Latvia – 47,056 Midsummer and 10,378 Leagues are registered.
In honor of the solstice celebrants, Circle K Latvia has researched what Midsummer and the League choose when stopping at the gas station on the way.
According to the Road Traffic Safety Directorate, in Latvia we can find 28,901 Jānis and 5,689 Līga at the wheel. Less than 40% or 11,464 drivers Midsummer and almost 43% or 2,443 drivers Leagues are members of the Circle K EXTRA loyalty program. Leagues are 1% bigger coffee lovers – the most popular hot drink for the fair sex is coffee latte. Midsummer, on the other hand, most often chooses tested values - black coffee with milk.
During the summer season, especially in hot and steamy weather, Midsummer and the League unanimously prefer the non-alcoholic ice drink K Freeze, which cools down with four different flavors – strawberry, raspberry, Coca-Cola and apple Fanta. Lovers can choose one or mix them together, creating different combinations of flavors and colors. On the way, hungry babies most often get stuck with a Double double burger – Midsummer has tasted this meal 6% more than the League.
Midsummer is a more frequent visitor to Circle K filling stations and uses their car more often. They refuel 9% more often than Leagues, while they use car wash services 4% more. Both Midsummer and Leagues mostly fill miles or milesPLUS of diesel fuel with functional additives. Adding them reduces fuel consumption and prevents deposits from accumulating in the engine.
