“That goes hand in hand with sudden fame,” admits Sneijder. “Everything is new and if you have one sip too much, you sometimes go crazy.” He also indicates that he finds it very annoying and that he regrets it a lot.

‘fight’
The marriage of Sneijder and Cabau ended in 2019. “You think it’s going to be okay, don’t you?” asks Evenblij. “I hope so, yes,” replies the footballer. “That takes time and we should see each other more often.”
But in his own words, it ‘eats’ the ex-footballer. “I certainly hope something can be salvaged. It is the most important goal in my life, the rest is on the back burner.” Still, he is confident that everything will be fine. “But I will have to fight hard for it.”
