Ex-Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, convicted of sex crimes, has been transferred to a prison north of New York City.
Weinstein was released on Wednesday by the New York Rikers Island Detention Center in a Maximum security prison in the city Fishkill brought as its spokesman announced.

The correctional facility in the state New York is about a hundred kilometers north of Manhattan. The industry journal “The Hollywood Reporter“reported Weinstein will only be temporarily in the Downstate Correctional Facility in Fishkill housed. The founder of the Miramax film studio, who will turn 68 on Thursday, is said to be serving his sentence in another prison.
Weinstein was due a week ago rape sentenced to 23 years imprisonment in a minor case and severe sexual assault. A New York jury had previously found the former Hollywood mogul guilty of raping a woman and forcing another woman to have oral sex.
