“What the hell is going on at the airport that you can’t see?” asked a Planespotter account on Twitter Wednesday morning. This was followed by a prompt response from the Zurich cantonal police: «The webcams are not available until around noon due to a police operation at Zurich airport. The webcams will be available again after the end of the mission.”
The police keep a low profile when asked. Apart from the fact that an operation has been underway since morning, no information can be given for tactical reasons. According to spokesman Florian Frei, such missions occur repeatedly. “Züri Today” reported on this for the first time.
