New Delhi. After a few days of respite from the unseasonal rains, the heat has once again started gaining momentum in Delhi-NCR. The maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to reach 42 degree Celsius on May 12. While the minimum temperature is expected to be 23 degree Celsius. Dust storm or thunderstorm is expected in Delhi-NCR today. Today, the cyclonic storm ‘Mocha’ in the Bay of Bengal, which is called ‘Mokha’, is moving northwards in the Bay of Bengal. It is very likely to move northwards and intensify into a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm over central Bay of Bengal by the morning of May 12.

Cyclone ‘Mocha’ is likely to cross the coasts of southeast Bangladesh and northern Myanmar around the afternoon of May 14. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has expressed hope that the wind speed of Cyclone Mocha will be 150-160 km at the time of hitting the coast. Can be from per hour to 175 km per hour. Mocha is expected to make landfall near Sittwe (Myanmar) between Kyaukpyu and Cox’s Bazar (Bangladesh).

Heatwave
According to IMD, there is a possibility of heat wave at many places in Bihar, West Bengal, Gujarat, West Rajasthan and Madhya Maharashtra today. Today, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 42 to 44 degree Celsius over most parts of West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, North Interior Odisha, Gujarat and West Rajasthan. On May 12, there is a possibility of heat wave in isolated areas in Konkan, Rajasthan on May 12 and 13 and in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during May 13 to 15. IMD has issued Orange Alert in West Bengal and Gujarat regarding heat wave today.
