According to DWD, April 2020 is the sunniest in Germany since recording began. It is also the twelfth April too dry in a row. Hamburg with little sunshine is 280, instead of 156 hours of sunshine, significantly higher than the internationally valid reference period.

With an average temperature of 9.9 degrees Celsius, the Hanseatic city was a little colder in April than in a German comparison – but 2.4 degrees warmer than in the reference period.
