Weather – Offenbach am Main – Few storm damage at night: More thunderstorms expected – Panorama

Offenbach / Ludwigsburg / Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) – The German Weather Service warns of strong thunderstorms in the southwest. From Monday afternoon until late at night, there can also be occasional storms, as the DWD announced. In addition to squalls and heavy rain, hail is also to be expected locally. For the night of Tuesday, the DWD warns, especially for the southern half, of further thunderstorms with partly heavy gusts of wind.

A storm front had already passed over Baden-Württemberg on Sunday evening. The police said there was only minor damage to property. In Ötisheim, for example, several cellars were full. In Karlsruhe there were several missions because of fallen construction fences and trees.

In Karlsbad (Karlsruhe district), the A8 was flooded due to the rain and temporarily closed. According to the information, there was a traffic accident due to aquaplaning in which no one was injured. In the districts of Ludwigsburg and Böblingen, four car occupants were slightly injured in four accidents due to heavy rain.
