Weather – Alerts up to 20 degrees

After a weekend with great weather throughout Norway, the very best day can be today, Monday.

– What a wonderful weekend! Yesterday, Etne came out on top in the country with 19.1 degrees, but the maximum temperatures in each county show that more were notched in the heel. Today looks at least as nice – maybe someone will get up and smell 20 degrees in the next few hours ?, Meteorologists write on Twitter.

– Just to enjoy

Meteorologist Julie Solsvik Vågane tells Dagbladet that the weather will remain quite mild throughout the day today and that it may be the warmest day in several places.

– It is a nice day in the whole country with high temperatures. We have discussed a bit if there may be someone who gets as high as 20 degrees today, since it was 19 degrees somewhere yesterday, she says.

– It’s just to enjoy while you have this spring weather, Vågane continues, at the same time as she reminds that people must be careful.

The challenge with the mild weather is that there is a forest fire danger in Østafjells, she says.

The heat will not last long. The meteorologist explains that there is mostly southerly winds all over Norway now, and therefore the weather is mild. Throughout tomorrow and inwards towards Wednesday, the wind turns westerly, and then the precipitation from the sea pulls in. Then the temperature will drop, especially towards Wednesday.

Vågane refers to Nordland as an example, which has had 15 degrees. Now there will soon be sleet, if not snow.

– The temperature is clearly falling throughout Norway. It will be quite a lot colder and where there has been no night frost now, it will probably come back again during the week.

There will be differences in how much precipitation comes, but it will not hit Western Norway until Tuesday night, according to the meteorologist.

– Towards Wednesday it moves east, and then most of Norway will get a little sprinkle of snow in the north and rain in the south, but also snow in higher areas in the south, says Vågane.
