What is the reality? A quick look at the statistics will show that the Czechia is certainly not a global or even pan-European variant in the number of tests. However, if it is compared only with the V4 countries, or with African, South American or South Asian countries, it will be among the better ones.
If all tests since the beginning of the pandemic are taken into account, the Czechia, with less than 100,000 tests per million inhabitants, beats Slovakia (71,000 tests per million) or Poland (80,000), but loses to Germany (160,000) or Austria (151,000 tests per million population).
The Czechia is not a premium even in the weekly tests. According to the latest complete data from the respected European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), all European countries except six Eastern and Southern European countries tested more in the 35th week of the year.
