The series is a romantic comedy That makes you laugh, yes, but there are times when you will find yourself in a social drama with a touch of thriller. The story follows the complicated life of Georgia (Brianne Howey) and his two sons: Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca). The whole family moves to a small town called Wellsbury, the typical one in the United States in which everything is perfect. They do so after the death of Georgia’s husband, a millionaire with several yoga gyms whose sudden death could conceal a crime.
It all starts out super well, and even the troublesome Ginny adapts wonderfully to her new institute. It costs the child a little more, but we would say that both the mother and the children would have found the ideal place to live if it were not because Georgia’s past continues to haunt her. What secrets does it hide? What’s behind the perfect mother image?
Beyond the family dramas, the comedy situations (and the mother’s looks), there is another factor that hooks. ‘Ginny and Georgia’ is also a series of teenagers with many of the scenes (if not almost all) taking place at the high school that Ginny goes to. The boyfriends, the new group of friends and even the typical dilemma between loving the bad-ass hottie or the not-so-handsome smart guy.
‘Ginny and Georgia’ has it all, and yes, we could say that it is an updated version of ‘Gilmore Girls’, the mythical series from the early 2000s created by Amy Shamer-Palladino and starring Laura Graham and Alexis Bledel (‘The Handmaid’s Tale’).

The mother is the adult protagonist of the story. It is irresistible, unapologetic and somewhat atypical (if not totally). He gets a job in the office of the mayor of the city, a challenge that brings him professional joys, the occasional displeasure and also an excellent opportunity to fall in love again. By the way, you’ll be happy to know that the character of the mayor is played by actor Scott Porter. Doesn’t it ring a bell? It was George Tucker in the series ‘Doctor in Alabama’.
