“We are competitive, but we have to become more cold-blooded”

“The only criticism I have to make to my team is the poor use of opportunities. The girls combined variably and created many opportunities, but failed too often because of the strong HSG keeper or their nerves,” commented coach Christian Hohmann. Sina Wolf, actually a very confident seven-meter shooter, was only able to score five of her nine attempts from the spot, and counter-attacks were also missed.

As a result, the promoted team was always behind, because the 4:10 (21st minute) was already a big problem. The guests, controlled by Meyer (12/4), were challenged in the second half, but did not allow the hosts to get closer than three goals (19:22, 23:26). Hohmann’s conclusion: “We are competitive, but we have to become even more callous.”
