Watford vs Chelsea Temporarily Suspended Due to Emergency Incident

Match Premier League between Watford against Chelsea temporarily suspended after an emergency incident occurred in the spectator stands, Thursday (2/12) early morning WIB.

Chelsea medical staff ran across the pitch at Vicarage Road to provide treatment to a spectator who is believed to have suffered a heart attack.

Moments later the players from both teams were ordered to leave the field and return to the locker room after only playing for 12 minutes. Meanwhile, medics continued to provide assistance to fans.

“The game had to be paused due to an emergency in the spectators area. Both teams have left the field,” wrote Watford’s official Twitter account.

The match is expected to resume soon after further notice.

In this match Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel made six changes to the starting lineup from the 1-1 draw against Manchester United.

Jorginho, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech were left on the bench and replaced by Saul, Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic.

Meanwhile, Reece James was not included in the list of players who appeared today. Meanwhile, Kai Havertz, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta are included in the starting XI.
