Was tricked by message

This week, politician Matt Gaetz, lobbyist Matt Schlapp and commentator Dinesh D’Souza were tricked into sharing a photo of Lee Harvey Oswald, who is John F. Kennedy’s killer.

It was Insider who reported the case first.

Was tricked

It was on Monday on the occasion of Memorial Day that The Intercept journalist Ken Klippenstein shared a photo of Oswald and added the following message on Twitter:

– Congressman, my grandfather is a veteran and a big supporter of you. He would have been overjoyed if you had retweeted this photo of him on the occasion of Memorial Day. Here is a picture of him as a young deputy corporal.

Retvitret

Gaetz retweeted the Twitter message and added an emoji of an American flag, D’Souza retweeted, while Schlapp retweeted and wrote the following message:

– Wow Ken Klippenstein. It is an honor to retweet the image of a veteran on a day when we remember his fallen friends. God bless your grandfather and the United States, he wrote.

Both Gaetz, Schlapp and D’Souza are affiliated with the political right in the United States.
