The bottle in the 24 x 0.33 liter container is particularly affected. Other batches are of that recall locked out.
Why is the product being recalled?
According to the manufacturer, there may be glass particles in the drink. The trigger is a technical malfunction “at the beginning of the commissioning of the filling of the product”, says Krombacher.
Since the so-called “2 euro bottles” are used exclusively for the natural cloudy lemonade, other products are not affected by the recall, explains the brewery.
What can consumers do?
If the lemonade beer is drunk, the glass particles can pose a health risk. These can cause severe injuries in the oropharynx as well as in the esophagus and in the Gastrointestinal tract cause.
Customers who bought the bottles affected by the recall should therefore not consume them. Instead, they can bring the soda beer back to the market where they purchased it. There they will then be reimbursed the purchase price even without proof of purchase, explains Krombacher.
The brewery has set up a hotline for any queries. If you have any questions, customers can contact the manufacturer at 02732/880 880 or [email protected].
