Warner Bros Benelux has confirmed to ANP that all new Warner films will continue to be released in Dutch cinemas.
On Thursday, Warner Bros reported that it will release all new movies on HBO Max simultaneously in 2021 bring. There are many major titles, such as The Matrix 4, Dune in The Suicide Squad.
“HBO Max is only available in the United States,” Warner Bros Benelux emphasizes in their statement. This will therefore not lead to changes for the Netherlands.
Whether this will change in the future is not yet clear. The CEO of HBO, Andy Forssell, announced on Thursday that he also wants to roll out HBO Max in Europe in mid-2021. Warner Bros Benelux does not want to confirm whether the Netherlands will also be part of this.
