When there are only hours before more businesses can restart activities, the governor Wanda Vázquez Garced warned this Monday that if there are citizens who incur “irresponsible behavior” that tends to increase the contagion of the COVID-19, will take “more restrictive measures.”

The conduct and social irresponsibility of various citizens shows that they are not clear about the consequences of their behavior on beaches, rivers, establishments and even on public roads. We are vigilant and if this becomes the norm, we will take more restrictive measures, “said the first executive through her Twitter account under the heading that” citizen responsibility is crucial for the reopening of commerce and social activities. “

He specified that their expressions arise after observing “images” this weekend in which some citizens “demonstrate a lack of awareness, which only causes those who did not do well to become infected by those who did not.”

The expressions of Vázquez Garced after last Thursday announced a relaxation of the curfew and the order of social isolation imposed since March 15 to prevent further spread of the virus.

The governor determined that as of tomorrow more businesses will be able to open -following safety regulations- and that the curfew will be reduced to start at 9:00 p.m. and not at 7:00 p.m. as it has been for weeks.

“Every citizen has to be responsible and cannot put everyone’s health at risk,” said Vázquez Garced in his statements.
