The police took two drunk rioters into custody over the weekend in Waldshut, one of them twice.
On Friday evening around 8.30 p.m., a 35-year-old demolished the furnishings of a drinking companion.
The heavily drunk suspect had to be taken into custody overnight. The next morning he was released when he was again in control of his senses. But by 12 noon he was so drunk again that he was bare-chested to harass customers of a supermarket at the cattle marketplace.
This time too there was no choice. The stubborn man had to sleep off his intoxication in a cell.
Yesterday evening around 6.30 p.m., a 29-year-old was arrested by a witness after he had thrown a bottle against a wall in downtown Waldshut and kicked the exterior mirror on a car. Both people fell on the asphalt, causing the suspect to suffer minor injuries.
This man was also heavily drunk. He was declared detained and taken home. In gratitude, he insulted a police officer when he said goodbye.
In addition to criminal investigations, the two men are also billed for the costs of police operations.
