The head of Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, asked French President Emmanuel Macron to provide security for the son of the head of the Russia House in the Central African Republic, Dmitry Syty. The request is set out in a letter published in his telegram channel press services.
“Dear Mr. President… The son of Dmitry Sytoy is a citizen of France and lives in France. I ask you to give instructions to provide Dmitry’s son with worthy protection from terrorists who tried to make an attempt on Dmitry Syty”, the letter says.
As reported on April 8 RIA Novosti, Syty has made a lot of efforts to fight terrorism in Africa. On December 16, 2022, an attempt was made on his life: an explosive device was placed in a package containing a note threatening to kill his son.
Syty was sent by plane to Moscow. The Central African Republic recognized the incident as a terrorist attack. In early February, the police detained four employees of the DHL company in this case, who deny their involvement in the attack.
