The VRT offers an episode of FC the champions from 2002 will no longer be online and will not be retransmitted. The Belgian broadcaster finds the jokes about a black character condescending, inappropriate and no longer appropriate for the current zeitgeist, reports VRT News Monday.

FC the champions was shown from 1990 to 2011 and, in addition to four feature films, received a Dutch remake in 1994 entitled De Victorie. An extra season of the Flemish comedy series planned for 2021 is in jeopardy after the death of cast member Johny Voners in March of this year.
