Why is?
The big municipal council has this May Issued three parking ordinances :
First, the city council should be able to charge more for parking on public property than before. The tariffs would be increased in a targeted manner, especially in central zones and in popular locations such as the Bruderhaus. For short-term parking, a higher tariff would have to be paid after 30 minutes instead of the previous 60 minutes.
Second, the city council should also be given more leeway when it comes to the prices for parking tickets. If he exhausts this to the full, a long-term parking card for the blue zone will cost 1,000 francs a year instead of the previous 710 francs. For one-day visitor tickets, the city will now charge between ten and twenty francs instead of five francs. In addition, only those who can prove that they cannot park privately should receive a parking card for the blue zone. Specifically, this means: The property owner must confirm that there are no parking spaces on the property. And it must not be noted in the land register that a parking permit is waived. According to the city, the resulting additional effort should be kept within limits, because in future permits will also be made via the planned digital parking card portal can be obtained.
