Former First Lady Michelle Obama (56) introduced Beyoncé as the winner for her humanitarian efforts during the Corona crisis.
– To my girl. I just want to say that you inspire me. You inspire us all, Obama told Beyoncé according to CNN.
The two women have worked well for several years.
– I encourage you to take action. Vote as if it’s about life, for that makes so, said Beyoncé, who dedicated the award to the “Black Lives Matter” movement.
– This one is for all my brothers out there, all my sisters out there who inspire, march and fight for change.
Beyoncé called for unity.
– We have to do this together. Keep fighting for each other and lifting each other up. Because there are people who bet that we stay home during the local and primary elections.
