The “Dingos” had sovereignty on the net in the home win against Karlsruhe-Beiertheim

Volleyball players from TV Dingolfing win 3:1 against Karlsruhe-Beiertheim – (ki) TV Dingolfing landed a difficult eighteenth win in the twentieth game on Sunday afternoon (5.3.2023) in the women’s 2nd Volleyball Bundesliga South. The “Dingos” defeated newly promoted SV Karlsruhe-Beiertheim 3-0 in a home game in front of almost 250 spectators, thereby extending their lead as leaders to ten points. TV Altdorf also contributed to this on Saturday evening when he lost five sets to the second team of VC Wiesbaden and was only able to get one point. “Maybe it was also the result of Altdorf that we didn’t get into the rhythm and flow we used to,” speculated TVD coach Andreas Urmann, who relied on his three youngest players Lisa Winkler because of back problems and the two newcomers from Straubing; Emilia Jordan and Antonia Herpich, who played the South Bavarian Championships in the U20s for their home club, are doing without. This time Andreas Urmann used Loretta Piller as a setter from the start, who did her job very well and received special praise from Dingolfing’s coach, who used all eleven players who, despite the difficult task, showed determination and struggle. The game started out very tough and the entire encounter should be similar. However, this should not detract from the good and courageous performance of the guests, who did not appear in the style of a table from bottom in Dingolfing – and this as a newcomer for the first time in the Höll-Ost sports hall. The guests were able to keep up until almost the end of the respective set, whereby the encounter was characterized by many mistakes, especially in the serve. In the opening set, the hosts took the lead for the first time at 11:10 and secured the game section over 17:13 and 23:20 with 25:22. Set number two was similar, initially balanced, at 17:13 TV Dingolfing pulled away and won the set 25:18. In the third part of the game it was very close: the guests led by one or two points at times, but in the end the hosts converted the third match ball to the acclaimed 26:24 and thus to a 3:0 home win after 83 minutes of pure playing time. Captain Mira Schrömer was honored as the most valuable player in the “Dingos”. A lot was offered to the happily large number of spectators on Sunday afternoon: in addition to an attractive volleyball game with sometimes tight sentences and exciting rallies, the prince guard of the carnival society of TV Dingolfing performed in the long break after the second sentence and the audience was called for nine-year-old Nico from Osterhofen , from where the former TVD volleyball player and ex-professional kickboxing world champion Julia Irmen came to Dingolfing as an ambassador for this campaign. Thousands of euros can be transferred this week for the young footballer who is suffering from a rare tumor – a small contribution for a drug that is only available in the USA and can only be administered there. The home game was also held under the motto “Ladies Day” with free entry for all spectators and a glass of sparkling wine, which was very well received. At the end of the game, not only the home win was celebrated, but also the fact that after this three-point win and the defeat of Altdorf with only one point, TV Dingolfing now has a ten-point lead as table leader and from the remaining four games – Two of them are still at home – three points left, ideally only one match with three points, i.e. win 3:1 or 3:0. The first opportunity to do so will come after a weekend without games in two weeks at the Bavarian Derby in Lohhof, in order to perhaps secure a repeat of the women’s championship in the 2nd Volleyball Bundesliga South.
