Volkswagen to Officially Debut New Facelifted Golf Next Week

Volkswagen is preparing the official debut of the new facelifted Golf. He will present the novelty soon and now shows it in the latest design sketches.

The new facelift of the popular Volkswagen Golf will be officially presented next week. The Wolfsburg automaker lured us to the upcoming festive debut of this year’s novelty celebrating the 50th anniversary of the brand’s bestseller by recently publishing photos of the most modern sports Golf in development and marketing camouflage, and now it also shows us design sketches.

Already the first photos of the fun-to-drive Golf GTI showed us that this year’s modernization of the current eighth generation of the model will be a decent evolution. Even on the new design sketches, we can mainly notice the new improved front bumper and new main headlights with a more aggressive shape.

From the rear, the new Golf will undergo only a light modernization – design sketches show a new lower part of the rear bumper. At the same time, the official taster reveals the new rear light graphics.

We already know from earlier information that we will see significant changes only in the interior. The novelty will be presented with a new top-of-the-line fifteen-inch display and new infotainment, as shown in the flagship electric Volkswagen ID.7. The smaller version could have a 12.9″ screen.

In Europe, even after the facelift, the new Volkswagen Golf will reportedly be sold with a manual transmission. However, the GTI and R sports variants will only be available with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic DSG. According to the information so far, the new modernized version of the Golf is the last dot behind the combustion era of the model.

The new Volkswagen Golf will be officially presented next week – on Wednesday, January 24.
