monitoring detikcom At the site, Friday (20/1/2023), a grave can be seen in the middle of land clearing. There is no access road to the tomb. From afar, the tomb looks like a mountain high above the red ground.

One of the families who own the tomb, Wardana, spoke up. He said the grave would be moved.

“Right now the process is being moved because there is already an initiative from all the families. The goal is to keep it safe and still be able to make pilgrimages,” Wardana said when met at his residence, in Bojongsari, Depok, Friday (20/1/2023).

Wardana said the eviction land would be made into housing. Until now, the grave has not been moved due to objections from the family.

“What is it going to be built for, a housing will be built. I defend the tomb, so if the question was ‘why was it left and not evicted’, yes because we also object if the developer does not provide money for the relocation,” explained Wardana.

According to him, the developer has also not been able to tidy up the place because there are no funds yet to move the tomb. However, after deliberation, the developer finally agreed to fund the process of moving the tomb.

“Even if the developer still has the impression that they haven’t tidied up the place yet. Because we don’t yet have the language for the money for the transfer process, but after we received it yesterday, we also invited the clerics to process the transfer,” said Wardana.

The tomb, explained Wardana, was called sacred because local residents believed it had been passed down from generation to generation. The ‘sacred’ grave will be moved to a public cemetery (TPU).

“If it is said that it is sacred, then the people who saved people here also at that time, maybe the story has been passed down, yes, from our parents at that time. For the process of moving it, we moved it to a public grave,” said Wardana.
