With 214 preferences out of 233 voters, the professor Vincenzo Nicola Talesa is the director of the single department of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Perugia. “The result obtained highlights the great compactness of the medical area,” said the professor after learning the verdict. “A director with this percentage of votes has never been elected – he continued – the credit goes to the aggregation capacity of the rector and the entire governance”. A few more days to formalize the appointment, the decrees of the dean and the rector must come out, then Talesa he will be at the helm of a structure that has over 450 people including doctors, nurses, students and administrators. And he will remain in office until October 31, 2022. “I will immediately appoint my deputy and close collaborators – he says – so that each of them takes care of individual problems, acting as a link and creating a network”.
