Lego has officially presented its latest building set. The Colosseum is the largest Lego set in its range, beating the ‘Millennium Falcon’, the famous Star Wars spaceship as the largest set. As far as possible, account has been taken to make the building, good for 9,000 stones, as historically correct as possible.

In a video that Lego launched with the performance, the many details are clearly visible: from Ionic and Doric columns to the corridors that are located under the battlefield of the Colosseum. There the gladiators and many animals had to wait before they had to throw themselves into battle to cheer the Roman people and the emperor. Unfortunately you can’t get much closer to the construction set than the movie, because it was already sold out in one day … There is also a hefty price tag on the largest Lego set to date: 499,99 euro.
