Vienna Set to Receive Two New Gendarmerie Brigades, Falling Short of Requested Allocation

According to our information, Vienna should be allocated two new gendarmerie brigades on October 2, 2023. She had asked for three.

The Minister of the Interior should make public on October 2, 2023 the list of 200 new gendarmerie brigades announced in 2022 by Emmanuel Macron.

Vienne, which, through its prefect, had requested three additional brigades, including two mobile ones, should, according to our information, be granted two: a mobile brigade for the north of the department, whose point of attachment would be Scorb-Clairvaux; and a fixed brigade, installed Fontaine-le-Comte.

The town west of Poitiers, marked as a white zone, was apparently preferred to Lusignan who seemed to be holding the rope to find a brigade.
