Vienna: “I said no!” – Rape victim (12) describes martyrdom

“No I do not want to! He noticed that too. He pushed my head down and I had the feeling that he wouldn’t let me go,” said the twelve-year-old girl in her interview with the Vienna police. The victim’s statement should be 15 pages long in total.
«I said no, but then he came into the room and lay down next to me. I was afraid. “I just looked straight ahead and waited for it to be over,” the Austrian “Kronen-Zeitung” continues to quote from the investigation files.
The girl was raped for months in the Favoriten district of Vienna. Last Thursday, officers from the Austrian State Criminal Police Office arrested 17 young people between the ages of 13 and 18.
“So surrounded that I couldn’t leave”
The teenagers, of Syrian, Turkish, Italian, Bulgarian and Serbian origin, claim that the victim gave consent for sex. “She never said that she didn’t want to do that,” one of the suspects told the “Bild” newspaper.
The girl contradicts: She says she was repeatedly put under pressure by the young people. The suspects are said to have filmed the sexual assaults with their cell phones and shared the recordings with each other via WhatsApp. They threatened the victim to publish the videos. “I didn’t have the feeling that they would just let me go either. They surrounded me and touched me so much that I couldn’t just walk away,” she told the police.
Gang let hotel rooms booked by people over 18 years old
The scenes of the martyrdom that lasted several months around Antonsplatz in Vienna-Favoriten are known. On Tuesday, the hostel where the sexual assaults are said to have taken place became known.
According to “Bild”, twelve young people between the ages of 13 and 16 attacked the girl in a hostel near Vienna Central Station one night in April 2023. In order to even get a room, the suspects asked an 18-year-old to make the booking for them.
“Don’t give a damn”
The Turk is said to have warned the teenagers “not to do anything stupid” and pointed out to them that this actually “doesn’t work” with a twelve-year-old. The next morning he just helped clean up the room. He does not want to have taken part in the sexual abuse. The investigation is ongoing.
It all started last spring in an underground car park at the main train station with a “harmless kiss”: The 15-year-old “friend” is then said to have passed the girl around “like a trophy” to his friends. The twelve-year-old’s mother filed a police report in October 2023 after her daughter confided in her.
