Barely 3 years old, little Arthur has become a hero in Brazil after the broadcast, by his mother, of a video showing him saving the life of his friend Henrique, also aged 3, who fell into the parental pool.
If the video captured by a CCTV camera was only broadcast this week, the facts date back to the beginning of August. Poliana Console de Oliveira accompanied her Facebook post with a message of love to her son, “a real hero”, “real life hero, my pride”.
And Arthur’s mother clarified that Arthur, 3, saved his friend’s life “after” 30 seconds of oversight. “According to her, the little boys left the house without telling their parents and went to each other. There, little Henrique, also 3, fell into the pool trying to retrieve a floating object. The little boy didn’t seem to know how to swim and quickly sank. He waved his hands out of the water. Arthur, wearing his pool armbands, was able to retrieve his friend’s hand and pull him out of the water.
Since the video was posted on Facebook, Arthur has become a hero. The local police even came to his house to give him a reward for his heroic deed which saved his friend’s life.
