Huge surprise. After retiring in the summer of 2019, Arjen Robben puts on his boots and signs for FC Groningen (Eredivisie), his training club. He had indeed started his professional career at 16, in the Dutch workforce, where he evolved between 2000 and 2002.
“At the beginning, I didn’t miss football at all. But then there was a phase where it tickled again and I had thoughts like, ‘Hey, maybe I want to play a little bit again.’ From time to time, I always have this feeling.
