Video of a number of carcasses they are which was charred by fire on Mount Sindur, Bogor Regency, West Java, went viral on social media (medsos). The snakes were said to have been found at the site of a land fire.
In the video seen detikcom, Tuesday (31/10/2023), the snakes were at the location of the land fire. The snake’s carcass was found by residents.

Dansek Parung Damkar Bogor Regency, Napi, said the incident occurred on Monday (30/10). He suspected that the land was once a swamp.
“The empty land that was burned, used to be a swamp if I’m not mistaken, entered Mount Sindur, Cibadung Village, near the Parung Regional Hospital,” said Napi when contacted.
The prisoner does not know for sure how many snakes were burned to death. He said fire crews were focused on extinguishing the fire in the burning area.
“Not knowing the numbers, members yesterday focused on blackouts like that. If it was a snake, people from the village would see it, if only the members would see it aja No pay attention,” he explained.
He suspected that there was a snake’s nest at the fire location. He said the location used to be a swamp.
“Yes, maybe it could be (there is a snake nest), a swamp for years like that,” he said.
