Argentine President Alberto Fernandez announced the extension of mandatory public isolation in the capital, Buenos Aires, until June 7, after the city witnessed a steady increase in the number of HIV cases.
And “Russia Today” channel showed a video, showing the Argentine authorities closed the slums, as they put iron fences around them due to the outbreak of Coruna virus, and a neighborhood was quarantined after scores of new HIV infections were discovered.
Residents say they are under captivity and cannot go out, enter or work.
Argentina imposed public isolation on March 20 and was due to end on Sunday, although officials eased restrictions in some areas of the country.
