She fell between the platform and a train arriving at the station
On March 29, the platform of the Independencia metro station in Buenos Aires, in Argentine, was marked by an appalling scene. A young woman, called Candela, fell ill and passed out. She fell head first onto the tracks as a train passed, under the dumbfounded gaze of several people. The latter, however, did not have time to act.

The young woman escaped
Rail services responded quickly. The young woman, aged 24, was lying on the quay while waiting for the rescue team. Candela miraculously survived. She was taken to the Alberto Balestrini hospital, and was able to return home after a few days of convalescence.
A miracle
The young woman confided that she did not remember anything. She just remembers when she was lying on the ground, then transported to the hospital. She considers herself lucky to have survived such a accident. “I don’t know how I’m still alive. I’m still trying to make sense of it all”she said on television, according to comments relayed by the site News 24.
She still needs treatment and tests.
Candela suffers from a fractured rib, which allegedly affected his liver. “I suffered a concussion on the side of my head above the ear, and because of that I can’t hear well, in addition to a skull fracture between my nose and my eyebrow”she said, according to CNews. She still has to undergo neurological examinations and follow treatments for her hearing.
