In his first public activity, when he resumed the government agenda after reporting that he had passed the covid19, Governor Omar Prieto delivered 60 Yutong buses to optimize public transport in Zulia state.

“This is a very special activity, since these 60 new units, sent by President Nicolás Maduro, are incorporated into the public system to continue enhancing the logistics capacity of transportation in Zulia state,” said the governor.

In the vicinity of Las Pulgas, Prieto pointed out that the epicenter of these buses will depart from the headquarters of the Maracaibo Metro, where TransZulia operates, but they will connect Maracaibo with the Eastern Coast of the Lake, the South Lake area and will also cover the entire route of the metropolitan area that covers Mara, Maracaibo, San Francisco and La Cañada de Urdaneta.

He added that this is only the first batch that arrived in the region, for which in his role as the first Zulian authority, he thanked President Nicolás Maduro on behalf of the people, since buses are already incorporated into the battle against covid-19. .

The new buses were delivered from the Los Buchones or Las Pulgas market, considered the largest focus of coronavirus infections in the region.

Prieto was accompanied, among others, by the new head of the Redi Occidental, M / G José Moreno and the mayors Willy Casanova and Dirwings Arrieta.

He highlighted the Special Recovery Plan of the aforementioned market, for which he has deployed a day of asphalting and lighting, in which more than 150 street lighting fixtures reactivated on the streets and blocks of Las Pulgas were reactivated.
