Yesterday around 5 pm a traffic accident happened in the Denderleeuw borough of Iddergem, at the intersection of the N45 with the Hoogstraat. In one of the cars involved was a couple with a 5-year-old child, who were slightly injured and transferred to the hospital in Aalst. The emergency department later informed the police that the woman and the child had previously tested positive for corona.
Police zone Denderleeuw-Haaltert is now making an appeal. “We ask the people who provided assistance to these victims at the time of the accident to contact their GP for possible guidance.”
