Vice Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk named the regions of the country whose residents need to immediately evacuate.
Vereshchuk announced this on the air informational telethonanswering the question, what is the reason for the call to the residents of the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region to evacuate by all possible means.
“This is due to the fact that our army is launching a counteroffensive. I don’t know what time frame it will be. But I know for sure that there should not be women and children there. And they should not become a “human shield” between our army, our Armed forces and the enemy. The enemy must be destroyed,” Vereshchuk emphasized.
She stressed that the call to residents to leave the temporarily occupied territories is connected with concern for people’s lives and their safety.

“Obviously, there will be battles, there will be artillery shelling and civilians should not suffer from this. Therefore, we call for urgent evacuation,” Vereshchuk explained.
The Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories spoke on the issue of evacuation in the Donetsk region, what residents of Kramatorsk, Slavyansk, Bakhmut should do.
“Listen to the recommendations of the leadership of the regional military administrations. I know Pavel Kirilenko (chairman of the Donetsk OVA – UNIAN) constantly pays attention to evacuation measures. And do what the local authorities ask – to evacuate. She added that residents of Donbass need to be evacuated even considering the situation with possible problems in the region with electricity, gas supply and heating during the cold season.
“The way the Russian occupier purposefully interrupts electricity, interrupts cables and power supplies, gas pipelines and pipelines, which then our utilities will not be able to repair. All this suggests that we need to evacuate, realizing that the winter will be very difficult,” she stressed. Vereshchuk.
As UNIAN reported, on July 5, the chairman of the Donetsk OVA noted that the process of evacuation of residents of the Donetsk region due to constant shelling began to accelerate. He stressed that it is necessary to evacuate in greater numbers, because the situation in the region remains difficult, and there is not a single safe place in the Donbass where shelling would not take place.
On July 9, the chairman of the Zaporizhzhya OVA persistently advised residents to leave the war zone, however, noted that the decision on mass evacuation will be made exclusively by the military command. He added that the most active hostilities are now in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as in the eastern communities of the Zaporozhye region.
