Venezuela. “There is no food for those who do not vote” warns “Chavista” – News

Diosdado Cabello guaranteed that Chavism “will teach the US opposition and the American empire a lesson in sovereignty” in the December 6 parliamentary elections.

“We will teach the empire a lesson during the elections, we will demonstrate that in Venezuela, it is the people who elect the National Assembly, which elects the President of the Republic,” he said.

Diosdado Cabello, who is said to be the second strongest man in Chavism, was speaking during a campaign in the Venezuelan state of Bolívar (southeast of Caracas), during which he stressed that the new deputies “will continue to work to consolidate policies for the people”.

Cabello, who is also president of the Constituent Assembly (AC, composed solely of supporters of the regime), urged Venezuelans to vote massively in parliamentary elections, “for any of the parties that make up the revolutionary alliance”.

According to a video released by the Venezuelan press, Diosdado Cabello also said that “there will be no food for those who do not vote” in Sunday’s parliamentary elections.

“You have to vote. Of course, and those who do not vote do not eat, for those who do not vote there is no food. Those who do not vote, do not eat, we apply a quarantine there, without eating ”, he said.

The Venezuelan opposition has already responded, and accuses the PSUV vice president of “threatening the population”.

“The Maduro dictatorship is left with only the threat to mobilize the fraud (elections) of December 6. Cabello says there is no food for those who do not vote, but there has been no food for a long time. More than 9 million Venezuelans suffer from food insecurity due to the crisis you have created, ”wrote deputy Carlos Vecchio on his Twitter account.

In another message, accompanied by a photo of elders eating soup, the opponent also says that “more than 5 million Venezuelans have emigrated in search of food and resources outside Venezuela because you have devastated everything”.

“Let us not even talk about child malnutrition and dollarization (posting prices of products in dollars), in fact, the economy that worsens the situation”, he stressed.

The Venezuelan press says that even though “the Observatory against Fraud has been in existence for a few days”, it has denounced that Chavista candidates are using food boxes at subsidized prices “to campaign and capture votes in 55.60% of the country’s municipalities.

Also that a report released in 2019 by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet warned that “with the worsening of the economic crisis, the authorities started to use social programs in a discriminatory manner, for political reasons and as an instrument of social control ”.
