Venezuela reached 30,369 cases; in one day reported 12 deaths

In 151 days of quarantine, this Thursday, August 13, the country reported the highest number, not only of infections; also of deaths. On this day, 1,281 new cases of coronavirus covid-19 and 12 deaths are added to the statistics.

At 10:15 pm, through twitter, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez reported that a total of 1,113 cases of community transmission and 168 imported cases were detected in the last 24 hours by health authorities to raise the total number of infections to 30,369

Of the cases of this day, Zulia registered 50 community, according to the official balance.

On the other community infections they reported:

Capital district: 371 new cases, in the 22 parishes.

Miranda: 219 new cases.

Anzoátegui: 144 new cases.

New. Sparta: 114 new cases.

La Guaira: 90 new cases.

Barinas: 24 new cases.

Aragua: 20 new cases.

Hurry: 16 new cases.

Merida: 14 new cases.

Carabobo: 12 new cases.

Lara: 10 new cases.

Yaracuy: 9 new cases.

Monagas: 6 new cases.

Bolivar: 6 new cases.

Trujillo: 4 new cases.

Táchira: 3 new cases.

Guarico: 1 new case.

Regarding the imported cases, he specified that 158 ​​are from Colombia, 4 from Brazil, 3 from Peru and 3 from Ecuador.

He added that of the active patients a total of 4,430 are in hospitals, 4,120 in Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI) and 175 in private clinics.

He specified that to date there are 8,725 active cases, of which 4,789 are without symptoms, 3,510 have mild respiratory failure, 345 have moderate respiratory failure and 81 are in intensive care units due to serious conditions.

Fatal victims

Rodríguez regretted informing the death of twelve people by the contagion of covid-19 to increase the number of fatalities to 259.

He explained: There are 4 deaths in the Capital District: 3 men aged 70, 58 and 71, among them, Darío Vivas, and a 44-year-old woman; three men aged 57, 77 and 51 and a woman aged 84 in Miranda; a 53-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man in Mérida; a 39-year-old man in Táchira and a 58-year-old man in Apure.

The vice president stressed: “The virus is circulating throughout the country, we are in week 22 of fighting the coronavirus, applying the Venezuelan formula of 7 + 7, but it is not the time to relax the protection measures. Only united and taking care of ourselves can we fight this battle ”.
