According to the appointment decisions published in the Official Gazette, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tümay, Prof. Dr. Özlenen Özkan was appointed as the Rector of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, as the Rector of Çukurova University Prof. Dr. Meryem Tuncel, as the Rector of Dicle University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakoç, as the Rector of Fırat University, Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş, as the Rector of Gazi University, Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız was appointed as the Rector of İnönü University. Dr. Ahmet Kızılay, Istanbul Technical University Rectorate Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu, as the President of Karadeniz Technical University, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Çuvalcı, as the President of 19 Mayıs University Prof. Dr. Yavuz Ünal was appointed as the Rector of the Middle East Technical University, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Verşan Kök, as the Rector of Sivas Cumhuriyet University. Dr. Alim Yıldız was appointed as the Rector of Trakya University Prof. Dr. Erhan Tabakoğlu, as the Rector of Yıldız Technical University, Prof. Dr. Tamer Yılmaz was appointed.
President Erdoğan made the aforementioned appointments in accordance with Article 13 of the Higher Education Law No.2547 and Articles 2, 3 and 7 of Presidential Decree No. 3.
