As promised by the organizers of the festival, this year there will be both cinema viewing and specially developed routes: “Family Pedal” – 8 km, “Puspedālis” – 30 km and “Dižpedālis” – 55 km, which will take you through the twists and turns of the film to Valmiera through an interactive game. neighborhood. In turn, for those who will not go to Valmiera on May 2, the organizers offer to go to the game by bicycle, while answering questions and completing tasks, with the help of “Looping Games” on the route of your choice in Latvia and around the world. The first evening of the festival “Cinema Night” will take place on May 1 and the organizers invite everyone to watch the films in their own homes.
A selection of five-year-old films with favorite, emotional and inspiring films, in which the bicycle plays an indispensable role, is prepared for the audience. On the second day of the festival, on May 2, a bicycle trip is expected along specially developed routes in Valmiera and its surroundings.
On Sunday from three different places in Valmiera (depending on the chosen route), at a convenient time you will be able to go on one of the routes specially developed for “Kino Pedāls” – “Family Pedal” – 8 km with start / finish in Valmiermuiža castle park, “Puspedālis” – 30 km with start / finish at Valmiera railway station and ‘Dižpedālis’ – 55 km with start / finish in Vecpuiši park. The organizers promise that the trip will be made more fun by the “Kino Pedāļa” game, which will show the direction of driving and pass questions about and around the cinema.
The organizers of the event emphasize that in order to avoid gatherings, it will be possible to arrive at the starting point of each route at any time, and the game will be available all day. Everything you will need to participate in the cycling trip – mobile phone, bicycle, LQUIZ app, internet connection, access code, which will be announced on the festival website and Facebook. It is very important for the participants to follow all the safety measures set by the country – masks, two meters and driving within the allowed households. When on the road and on the move, it is important to follow the rules of the road.
On the other hand, those who will not be able to get to Valmiera on May 2 for various reasons will be able to become a member of “Kino Pedāļa” without being physically present here. The “half pedal” game will be available for play throughout Latvia and the world.
Everyone can choose their favorite route within a radius of 20 kilometers, starting from where you are, you need to connect to the game in the LOQUIZ app. The moment the participant starts moving, the app will play questions or tasks related to “Cinema Pedal”.
