A man and a woman were arrested by members of the Valencia Police in different procedures carried out in the Miguel Peña parish, after committing different crimes.
The commissioner attaché Francisco Quiñónez, director of the Autonomous Municipal Police Institute of Valencia (Iampoval), reported that in the first case, Josué Alejandro Atencio Sanoja, 25, was arrested on Las Ferias avenue, Plaza de Toros sector. , for the crime of armed robbery.
The subject, who has records for theft and exploitation, stripped a citizen of her clothes using a knife and threats. The victim made the complaint to officials who were patrolling the place, so they began the search.
Minutes later, the uniformed men found the young man who was transferred to the Plaza Bolívar Police Coordination Center, along with the collected evidence, Quiñónez explained.
Apprehended for assaults
In another procedure, Municipal Police officers detained 45-year-old Merlys Ysabel Meriño in the Plaza de Toros sector, after physically and verbally assaulting a citizen in public. The person involved was transferred to the main headquarters of the local police
Both cases were notified to the Public Ministry (MP), the body that will be in charge of continuing with the corresponding inquiries and coordinating the presentation of the individuals.
