USA: North Korea supplied weapons to ‘Wagner’

United States National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby commented that Pyongyang has “completed the initial supply of weapons to Wagnerwho paid for this equipment”.

He confirmed a report from “Reuters” about the delivery of grenade launchers and rockets from Wagner PMC from North Korea in November.

The news is provocative criticism of the British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley, who said that “the fact that Putin is turning to North Korea for helpand a sign of Russia’s despair and isolation. We will work with our partners to ensure that North Korea pays a heavy price for supporting Russia’s illegal war in Ukraine.”

James Cleverley confirmed that according to US estimates, about 50,000 PMC “Wagner” fighters are operating in Ukraine, of which about 40,000 are former prisoners.

“Wagner becomes a center of power that competes with the Russian military and other Russian ministries,” he says.
