The non-partisan Presidential Debate Committee (CPD) announced on Monday that “to enforce these rules, the only candidate whose microphone will be open during these two-minute periods is the candidate who has the floor”. Then, both microphones will be activated for open discussion.
The CDP added that none of the candidates’ teams is completely satisfied with the announced measures: “We are confident that these actions strike the right balance and that they are in the interest of the American people, for whom these debates are held.”
